Meet The Team

Jacob Wiseman (or Jake as most know him), is a native of the Hunter Valley, born into a family deeply rooted in the world of wine. In 2011, he embarked on his own vinicultural journey, following in the footsteps of his parents, with a simple yet ambitious goal: to produce exceptional local wines.

His dedication was recognized in 2016 when he was awarded the ‘Trevor Drayton Scholarship’, a testament to his hard work and commitment to quality. This scholarship took him to Burgundy, France, where he gained valuable insights into small-scale wine production, broadening his perspective.

In 2019, Jacob transitioned to working in the vineyard, learning from respected figures in the Hunter Valley such as Harry Tulloch and Steve Gell. He discovered a genuine passion for this side of the business, finding joy in the hands-on work amidst the vines.

In August 2020, Jacob joined Molly Morgan Vineyard, finding a new home for his talents. Now, with more than three years’ experience at the vineyard, and with his vision and determination, he aims to elevate Molly Morgan Wines to new heights of excellence.
